The story behind iMeetPlaceTM
A relaunch built on a simple observation: the more time we spend on screens, the more we want a real reason to leave the house.
How it began
iMeetPlaceTM began in 2012 after its founder’s travels in the United States meant relying on hotel staff for places, activities and the right vibe. Apps introduced people but struggled to bring them together, amid fake profiles and endless swipes. The first version connected members with San Diego venues, while early developers said the broader vision could not be built—the technology had not yet caught up.
What changed
In 2026, technology finally caught up. iMeetPlaceTM 2.0 is a Real-World Social Coordination Network connecting real people, couples and groups through shared interests, chat and Video Hello. Orbit helps them find local places and the right vibe; OrbessaTM coordinates plans and reservations. Businesses gain visibility among verified members and control over bookings and offers. Orbit PassportTM captures real-world history, reinforcing accountability for members and businesses.
